Valve changed their policy to require that paid DLC be sold on Steam for games that had DLC. People go there for the DRM free, not because of Steam.
It has a diffrent clientele then Steam to begin with. GOG was originaly about older games that were no longer supported and DRM free games. If you don't respond to their requests ON THEIR PLATFORM, you get an F rating, even if you helped the customers through your own service. They also use the rating to extort businesses by making it go away if you pay their fees. Even Blizzard had one in reguards to their support and World of Warcraft. I currently have 1597 games on Steam over a good few years of use and never once had a support issue.Īctualy, it is very easy to get an F with the BBB. People such as myself prefer to buy through Steam even if it costs more hence Uplay direct titles are seen more often and more heavily discounted.Īnd finaly Steam.
At least Uplay have made the effort with Steam though I suspect it is because they don't make any more money on there own. Uplay again I have spent nothing directly on as I prefer having my games in one place. Origin I have spent nothing on but have still played the games I fancied. I have a few hundred old games on there that saves me going upto the loft. GOG (Good Old Games) are good for supplying what their name suggests. Its pretty tough to earn an F rating at the BBB, just food for thought. If they treated their own user base right, they wouldn't have any competition. Time to get outraged! How dare they give us free stuff. This gun is also free and you have no entitlement to it unless you comply with the conditions under which Techland decided to distribute it. The gun is outright useless because it is a blueprint that requires a firearm to craft but it defaults to base damage, which means any other upgraded weapon is miles better. If you claim free weapon via Gemly, you get custome painted assault rifle same as any other assault rifle in the game with bonus of 5 accuracy as per the report. I think this is atrocious, and really steam shouldn't be enabling game companies to fracture the gaming world even more by doing this kind of practice.Ĭustomer abuse? However, They have hidden part of the free DLC behind a wall, namely, They want you to sign up for *their* new Steam competitor service. today released a free DLC, which is great.
